Beyond the Stars

April 10, 2022 @ 10:00 am 1:00 pm

Beyond the Stars word mark

Centennial College Theatre Arts & Performance, in conjunction with Birdhouse Theatre Co and ReDefine Arts, are inviting you to come enjoy the premier production of Beyond the Stars, an interdisciplinary, ensemble piece devised by and featuring the graduating class of Centennial College Theatre Arts & Performance.

Loosely based on Antoine de St. Exupéry’s beloved novella The Little Prince, this piece follows, on one level, the simple story of a pilot’s crash landing in the desert and his life-changing friendship with a small boy from another planet. On another level, Beyond the Stars is an invitation to contemplate the human condition: loneliness, isolation, growing up, unresolved childhood dreams, the world, the people who inhabit it, love and loss, and the possibilities that exist beyond the stars.

This otherworldly experience will take place April 8 & 9, 2022 at 7 p.m., and April 10, 2022 at 2 p.m.

The show will take place at Factory Theatre, 125 Bathurst St., Toronto, ON. (south of Queen St., east of Bathurst.)

£5 – £25 Pay-What-You-Can-Afford. Ticket prices are $5, $10, and $25.

This ticketing method is designed to remove financial barriers. We invite our audience to choose what they can afford in order to experience theatre. All the tickets are the same regardless. Those purchasing at the $25 price point will do so with the understanding that their ticket price will help to subsidize the $5 ticket price, and in doing so, make theatre more accessible for others.

Due to Factory Theatres COVID-19 policies, all events are being sold at a reduced capacity to allow for social distancing in the theatre. This allows 49 seats per show.

With changing provincial policies due to mask and vaccine mandates, we hope to clarify that the audience is to be prescreened before the show, and is still required to wear a mask throughout the entire duration of the performance. You will also need to show proof of vaccination at the front with a valid form of I.D.

This show has no intermission, so please keep this in mind before arriving. It is also advised to arrive a few minutes early before showtime.

Please email with any questions.
