2024 Dean’s Awards

The 2024 School of Communications, Media, Arts and Design Dean’s Awards are here. Join us as we celebrate student excellence in academics, creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation. 

This year’s event is happening online and we invite you to witness the awards presentation live on the Story Arts Centre YouTube channel on Thursday, April 25th, at 6 p.m. During the premier event, we encourage everyone to use the live chat to congratulate and celebrate with all of our amazing award winners. 

Some of you might be asking what the Dean’s Awards are. Well, winners are picked by program faculty to acknowledge outstanding achievements in three distinct categories:

• Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence | This accolade is given to a graduating student with the highest GPA from each program.
• Dean’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation Award | Recognizing independent thinkers or teams who’ve embarked on collaborative projects, seizing opportunities, navigating risks, and creating value for themselves and others.
• Peter Dickinson Award | Awarded in honour of the visionary Canadian architect, this award celebrates students who challenge convention, fearlessly push boundaries, think outside the box, and embody creativity.
