Hello world! Ray here to bring you some COVID art inspiration! Mass of the Fermenting Dregs is a rock band formed in Kobe, Japan. I first discovered them when they came to Toronto a couple of years ago, and I loved their performance and stage presence! They are releasing a 7-inch cinyl very soon and wanted to make a music video highlighting one of their new songs, but due to COVID the band couldn’t get together to film a new music video so they instead used mini wooden mannequins to replace the band mates playing their instruments.
This may not be the first music video done in stop motion, but it’s definitely a smart way to stay creative while still being involved with social distancing. Be sure to check them out on Bandcamp, Spotify, and Facebook.
