Exporting clips out of Final Cut Pro
- Choose
File
from the drop down menu - Choose
Export - Using QuickTime Conversion
- A save pop-up window will appear. Under format choose
QuickTime Movie
then theOptions
button. - Select
Settings
under the Video tab. - Change the
Compression Type
toDV/DVCPRO-NTSC
- Change the
Frame Rate
to29.97
- Change the
Compressor
settings toBest
- Choose the
Aspect Ratio
of the Clip - Then click
OK
- Check the sound settings to ensure they are correct. They should be as follows:
48.000kHz, Best Quality and 16 Bit audio
- Unselect the
Prepare for Internet Streaming
box - Make sure to name the clip uniquely with your name and what the clip is. Avoid things like Untitled and Clip 2
Getting the clip(s) on to the Broadcast Pix Switcher
- On the Mac, choose Finder
Go
thenConnect to Server
- Type
smb://Bpix
then clickConnect
- Choose the
Clips Share
Directory - Find the
Show Folder
open it, then open theClip 1
folder - Copy your clips into the folder.
- Once the clips have been copied into the folder they are automatically loaded into the show and will disappear from this folder.
- The clips have now been loaded and should be ready to play.
Getting Still Clips on to the Broadcast Pix Switcher
- The Still Image must be
720x486
pixels to display properly, and can be a JPG, GIF, BMP or TGA file. - On the Mac, choose Finder
Go
thenConnect to Server
- Type
smb://Bpix
then clickConnect
- Choose the
GFX SHARE
Directory - Find the
Show Folder
open it, then open theStill 1
folder - Copy your still images into the folder.
- Once the images have been copied into the folder they are automatically loaded into the show and will disappear from this folder.
- The images have now been loaded and should be ready to view.
Getting CG Graphics on to the Broadcast Pix Switcher (From the CG Computer)
- Use TitleMotion software the CG computer beside the Bpix Switcher
- Create or edit your CG file.
- You may save your CG project on the CG computer, under the File menu select Save, and save the INS file in theÂ
C:\CG Projects\
Folder. - To save the CG to the BPix system, select the Graphic you wish to export then choose
Export - Export ICG File
from theFile
menu - Choose the
G: Drive
on the CG computer. - Choose the
Show Folder
then theCG1
Folder - Name the CG file with a unique name then
Save
the file
If the CG does not display choose Preferences
from the File Menu
and ensure the following settings are selected: NTSC
and that the file is 720 x 486
PixMaster Show Editor can be used to clean up and remove content not in use for the current show.
